1. Please introduce the Cuban Assassins.
Bruce Parks, guitar, a little singing. Brent Geikie, bass, backup vocals. Jason Wilson, drums, lead vocals.

2. How would you describe your music to someone that has yet to hear you?
Classic rock played by a punk rock band with a bit of Sabbath inspired boogie thrown into the mix. Or, you can judge for yourself at www.myspace.com/cubanassassins

3. What were the original goals of the band?
Well we started in the fall of '06 and our original intention was to bring good solid hard rock back to Halifax and play in every town we are able to get to.

4. What is your musical background? When did rock/punk/whatever come into play?
We've all been playing in various rock bands around the Maritimes for years. Jason was in The Heelwalkers, Bruce was in EI and The Atomic Machetes based out of Fredericton, and Brent continues to play very part-time with Montgomery Moth. We all listen to different kinds of music but I think solid rock is the stuff that we can come together and agree on.

5. When do you think the best time/situation to listen to a Cuban Assassins record is?
If we're not in your town that night.

6. Who do you consider your current contemporaries?
Nationally I would say C'mon, Tricky Woo, Priestess etc. Locally I would say we fit really well with Myles Deck and the Fuzz from Halifax, Barracuda Sunrise out of Saint John, and the Motorleague from Moncton. There are lots of others too.

7. What's up next for the band?
We've been keeping a low profile the last couple months, but we're in the process of setting up some Maritime dates this winter/spring with Myles Deck and the Fuzz and Barracuda Sunrise. We will likely be recording a new album sometime in the near future as well.

8. The end of civilization will be caused by:
The very last Cuban Assassins show.
