1.
Please introduce yourself.
I am BA Johnston, nice to meet you all.
2. How would you describe your music
to someone that has yet to hear you?
Nerd rock, loser anthems, casio manna from heaven.
3.What were your original goals in performing as BA? Have
they changed?
Make money, drink beer and eat fried foods across Canada; and
little about that goal has changed, maybe to get more free hotel
rooms.
4.You've toured quite a bit in the past; is it challenging to
drop whatever you're doing at home and head out on the road for
weeks at a time?
What challenges me about touring is getting off my fat ass and
leaving mothers house. I just moved into the basement there and
I have a seperate entertance and cable, and Canada is fucking
huge dude.
5.
What is your favourite show situation (type of venue, crowd, other
bands, etc) Any interesting road/tour stories?
My fav show is one where they have moniters, theres people there
who like me and I get paid. Honestly I could be playing on top
of a hotdog cart as long as someone buys a cd and I get 50 bucks.
6.
What are some of the things you try to communicate through
your music?
I dunno, love me?
7.
How did the DVD come about?
It seemed like the merch table needed something new, and people
had asked about someone that documents the live show better, Mat
at Just Friends was pretty into the whole thing.
8.When do you think is the best time/situation to listen to
a BA Johnston record?
While taking a huge crap.
9.
Favourite dance party song?
Whoop There It Is by Tag Team.
10.
What does the future hold for BA Johnston?
Tour, tour, tour, CD release, sleep, heart attack (age 35), become
trucker, eventually get re=discovered on my deathbed. Too little
too late.
