introduce yourself.
I'm Shotgun Jimmie.
2. What is your musical background?
My cousin Bruce taught me how to play "In the Jungle"
on the ukulele when I was seven.
3. When did indie/folk/whatever come into play?
I have always gone about things pretty much the same way.

How would you describe your album, "The Onlys" to someone
that has yet to hear it?
A 94 Chevy Lummina's engine as its trying to pass a big rock band's
tour bus on the Trans Can.

What are some things you try to communicate through your music?
I don't have a global or blanket message. I guess my approach
is the the classic story teller type. General themes include...
childhood daydreams in chronological and or alphabetical orders.

How does the feeling of touring and writing music for your own
solo project differ from your experience with Shotgun & Jaybird?
Its pretty much the same cause its always different.

How did the relationship with Delorean Recordings come about?
I think they started the label to help people and guess they thought
I looked like someone who could use help. I'm really glad we are
doing this cause it seems to be working out very well. I wonder
if I still look like someone who needs help though?

When do you think the best moment to listen to a Shotgun Jimmie
record is?

What is your favourite dance party song?
B.A. Johnston - Sleeping With My Walkman On.
