Secret
House Show Mustache Party May 12.07

This
was a bit of a ridiculous time. Windom Earle, Chara, and Syracuse
Me played at my friend Danny C's place in Cornwall. It was the
second show of the day, as I had previously put on a show for
Dog Day at the Reading Well Bookstore. This one had a late start,
1030PM and the cost was donation only.
It
was not an ordinary show; for starters it was not open to just
anyone. We enforced very strict guidelines... firstly, anyone
who wanted to go had to get in touch either by email, telephone
or in person. This was just a precaution as we did not want the
house address posted on the internet. Secondly and most importantly
all who wished to attend were required to wear a mustache. This
meant anyone with facial hair was automatically allowed in, and
anyone who did not have mustaches were required to draw them on;
girls and boys alike.
The
show coincided with a party which was being held upstairs, so
things got kind of messy. There were mustaches everywhere. Windom
Earle belted out poppy singalongs which set the mood for the night.
Epic images of Tristan wildly wielding a cowbell over his head,
with crowds of viciously performed hand claps on tempo live on
in our memories.
Syracuse
Me and Chara almost tore the walls down as aggressive in-your-face
freak out dancing filled the house. The party raged into the early
hours of the morning. Bonfires and mustaches ruled the night.
