First Show at JFK February 1.08

Charlottetown house shows are dependent on the community as a whole. Without the support of rad people such as home owners / renters greeting away bands with open arms, letting them crash on their sofas and playing in their kitchens, the community would fold. Equally important are the kids who frequent the shows. If they did not show the upmost respect for the people and venues we would be in serious trouble. So far so good.

With the fall of most major all ages venues throughout the Charlottetown area we have turned to putting on shows in our own homes, away from the over priced stages and meathead security guards.

The Charlottetown house show community is not without challenges, but it seems that when one house gets shut down, another is always ready to step up... this is the case of JFK House. The first show went off without a hitch. It was an all local show featuring the likes of insano-grind kids Aww Yeahhhh, super-fun drum/bass duo Party On!, and country and western gun slingers Boxer The Horse.
