Ghost
Bees Mustach Party August 6.08
This
was the second mustache themed show I put on. This time we were
really strict; we had markers in hand at the door of Lyons House
to make sure everyone indeed had a mustache. Katie Stelmanis from
Toronto, Ghost Bees from Halifax, Nova Scotia played this show
as well as a few others.
Attack
in Black were going to play but they had a bar show later that
night and didn't want to brave the rowdy Lyons House crowd, I
guess. It's still unclear what exactly happened. Regardless, this
was a glorious time.
We
also had a wicked powerful sound system for this show for some
reason; there weren't any really loud bands playing or anything
but regardless we combined two idential pa's to double the power.
We're lucky the speakers didn't burst into flames.
The
Islanders and Torontonians danced to Whiskey & Company between
sets, and the Ghost Bees pulled down the blinds and played an
inspiring set. They, along with Barnkat Katie also judged everyones
mustaches between one of their songs!
